One of the simplest meals ever. I was watching a TV program with my grandmother in Japan and I remember some fisherman cooking this dish to then use a sauce from another dish to dip in.
The other evening, I was really hungry but had no real desire to cook anything that would take a lot of effort – this dish is amazing for being low effort and few ingredients required.
Prep Time: 2 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Serves: 1
- Linguine pasta – 1 portion
- Courgette – 1/2
- Garlic – 4 cloves
- Chilli – 5g
- Olive oil
- Herbs de Provence
- Salt & Pepper
Method
- Boil linguine in water – add a drop of oil and touch of salt
- Chop the garlic, chilli and courgette
- Pour a good pour of olive oil into the frying pan add the garlic and chilli
- Add the courgette and some HdP and salt & pepper
- Drain the pasta
- Stir pasta into oil mix
- Serve hot
Suggestions
As this is such a simple meal, feel free to throw in other vegetables you have to hand, for example, mushrooms , peppers, onion – be adventurous.
