Back in 2017 – I had spoken to my Heidi about going on holiday together – as 2018 started, we began looking on Skyscanner for a good deal – not sure of the destination.
We finally booked after deciding on Barcelona and in May 2018 we jumped on a plane and went exploring.
So… I’ve never made fishcakes before and so this was purely made up as I went along. Quite often my cooking is experimental and there have been one or two times I end up not posting a meal because it doesn’t end up the way I want it to.
However this meal, although didn’t look the way I had anticipated, still tasted amazing and so I wish to share it with you.
Do people see the real you or do they see the you that you want them to see?

On this occasion I was given a clear instruction ‘I’d like a King Prawn Linguine please…’ I told my friend that it may be a little different from what you get at the Italian place down the road but I’d give it a go.
A friend came over for dinner one time, suffering with a blocked nose, this dish fixed her right up and she left a few hours later able to breathe!
One of the simplest meals ever. I was watching a TV program with my grandmother in Japan and I remember some fisherman cooking this dish to then use a sauce from another dish to dip in.
I visited Copenhagen twice in 2016 and loved the idea of a open-faced sandwich, it allows for there to be as much ‘filling’ as you desire. I saw counters full of colourful foods – prawns, onion, salmon, tomato, there were so many to choose from.

1. To bring awareness to others and things that inspire me
2. To log my travel finds and share my journeys
3. To post my food to share and encourage people to come together
Unless you don’t eat meat… I’m pretty sure everyone loves chicken wings.
I didn’t get it 100% correct but after making this video I know where I went wrong with flavour.
This particular evening, I felt like using my pestle and mortar to create a pesto and I wanted to use puff pastry… otherwise I had no idea what was for dinner – check it out.
